Does anyone here scan in their business cards? There seem to be a few of these devices on the market, so can anyone recommend one? Have ca. 400 cards that need either filing or scanning in, and if they're really searchable once scanned in, that would be just great!

I did look for one for a relative fairly recently and from what I can remember there seemed to be only one that everybody seemed to be selling. Don't know if he bought it in the end, so can't help further...
They are useful if you have a PDA but otherwise its technology for technologies sake IMO
You're better off arranging a load of cards on an A4 scanner and scanning them 8 or so at a time and then running an OCR package to see if it can create an index.
