Anyone happens to know a good recording software both for making 1:1 copies of cds and dvds (don't mean movies and protected discs, just regular discs), and to make copies from stuff on the hard drive to cd/dvd? Nero takes up to many resources and has to much useless stuff (for me anyways). Any other sugestions with the above capabilities and liter/easier to use?

I'm actually also looking for a good antivirus with the same features (ie, light on system resources, while still giving good protection, norton eats away to many resources). Thanks again

XP has the software built in.
However I prefer Nero for its ease of use. Maybe stick a bit more ram in your machine and delete a few old files?

I'm happy to be corrected, but so far as I know, XP has no way of making bit-for-bit copies of CDs. The damn thing always wants to write the files as wma.
