My PC has suddenly started switching itself off after 5 to 10 mins of use.
No warning, just off, as if plug is pulled.

Fan seems to be working , Could it be a virus ? are there viruses which can cut power ??

Regards,
Darren
Just to add , ive tried a different plug to pc lead , makes no difference.
If leave it a few mins,unplug the main power lead an re-plug,it powers up again.
Took the female socket out of the rear of the pc and messed with it ..... Big sparks ,thought id blown it up totally but it powered up yet again.
Now getting following message on start up ;

Error loading C :windows downloaded program files conflict.1 bridge.dll

What does this mean ??

Give it a good hoover inside, could be really dusty inside and overheating.

Google "conflict.1 bridge.dll "

Lots of explainations on what to do, essentially you need to boot the PC in safe mode delete a couple of files, edit the registry and run hijack this or another anti-spyware.
