Lenovo C330 Chromebook

My son wants one for school work. He tells me it is the one to go for, but as there are many knowledgeable people here I thought I'd check first.

Yay or nay chaps please.

I've just bought the s330 version which is essentially the same, but doesn't fold back on itself to make a tablet.

Its brilliant, in my opinion. Amazing battery life, so much so, I don't take a charger out with me.

I run my business and all my normal browsing etc through it, and it just works

Can highly recommend.

I got mine for £169.99, new from amazon. Kept an eye on the prices using camelcamelcamel as I wasn't in a rush

Not a bad one at all with the flip screen, 4gb ram is minimum I'd got for, I run 8gb in my Chromebase and ran 8gb in my older Acer C720 when I had it.

2gb just wasn't enough.

My son has asked his teacher who has said he should go for a Lenovo 500e.

Which I am sure is very nice but it's about 60% more expensive.

I didn't mind the 330 so much because it is £259 and if it gets broken / lost / nicked it's not TOO big a deal. £410 is quite chunk more.

Any comments on the 500e please?

Mine should of stopped (LG Chromebase) in June 2019, I'm on the BETA channel and am still getting updates.
