that's it..

looking to get a desktop for use at home by the family - mainly by the kids as my wife and both have work laptops / Macs.

so - any suggestions on what I need to look for...? I guess am looking for:

- large monitor, with PC workings inside (don't want a tower on the floor)
- keyboard & mouse.

don't want to drop a load of £ on this, but needs to have all the usual programmes / memory requirements.

Not going to be used for gaming or anything that requires serious memory..

many thanks all!

You want an "All in One". All the big names sell them - HP, Dell, Lenovo. They will all work.

Minimum spec is i3, 8GB, and an SSD, but you should aim higher for an all-in-one as you cannot upgrade them.

Might be worth considering a NUC and monitor - more flexibility of choice that way.

Why not a previous gen Mac mini?? That would do the job very well.

Thanks for the comments - going to stick with a PC as that’s what they use at school.

Another vote for a NUC and a monitor then.

You'll pay a fortune for an all in one with a big screen. NUCs arent expensive and then its down to your choice of monitor.

Also consider a Micro Form Factor PC
They can be VESA mounted on the back of the Monitor

Dell 9020, 3040, 3050 MFF for example
