Hi all. I have a few email accounts including yahoo, gmail and had numerous mobiles over the years which have inherited contacts from the previous ones. Thus I have a clutter of contacts which needs going through editing and making into 1 but which software/app do I use to import all of them and then check for duplicates and delete old numbers etc? TIA

Gmail works nicely for the merging and reduplication. Updating numbers is slightly more problematic from a privacy perspective as most tools will require you to upload your contacts. Manual task is best.

All your phone and gmail contacts should be in one place under your Google account.
The contacts app will have options to view and move contacts between the different sections it sees.
Your only job should then be to import your yahoo contacts as well. You should be able to export them from yahoo.
Then get used to only updating your Google contacts on your phone.
Once they are all together then you can look at tidying them up and combining/removing duplicates.
I've done this for people loads of times as it suits my OCD and experience with data management in the IT industry.

I went the Gmail route. Getting them out of Outlook into Gmail was a fun few hours & I still can't get any updates back into Outlook.

Google Contacts is what I use, merge phone numbers, emails etc all under one name.

I now have obvious duplicates within GMAIL after importing different lists yet when I press delete duplicates it states I have none. . . . any ideas lads?
