Motorola G6 Play - Does anyone have one? Storage question

My daughter has a Motorola G6 Play and when you try to look at how much storage it has, the "waiting" icon shows for ages - I get fed up before it loads.

I've done a hard reset, cleared the cache and 2.4gb of Snapchat cache (!) but the problem persists. A google shows that this is a common problem but it seems to be fixed by some people.

It's on Android 9 and the problem seems to have gotten worse since then - Has anyone here got one, experienced this and/or fixed this?

Just checked the sons after updating the firmware, takes a few minutes but it loaded ok.

Cheers - Is it literally minutes? I've left it over 10 before and it still won't load...

Yes did it on my wifes. I gave up in the end.

Sometimes takes ages, sometimes just a minute. Occasionally doesn't work
