The case of the vanishing hard drive

My PC has 3 hard drives:a 2TB split into C & D, a 2TB split into G & H, and a 3TB E drive. Dont ask me what happened to F
E is the culprit,it occasionally isnt seen on file explorer,and you cant start the games filed on it(and as it includes my favourites, and a metric fk tonne of downloads, losing it would be a prize PITA! )
A restart has fixed the problem so far(touch wood) but is there any investigation that I can do to find out what might be wrong, hopefully without dragging the PC out from behind the desk & opening it up

If it’s intermittently losing a complete drive I’d be moving any data off it pronto and replacing it, sorry if that’s not what you want to hear.

As above, HDD failure is very likely happening
