No chance, in fact I've only recently started to consider upgrading my main Mac to Mojave!
I don't think my Mac Pro (2010, but upgraded) will run Catalina, but it is still very happy with 10.12 Sierra. I'm thinking of installing High Sierra to match the laptop. Something needs to be upgraded as Safari tabs no longer sync since to my phone since iOS13. Also, Photos has a new filing system and is a bugger for backup. Masters now seems to be a database of where stuff was and a new file for the originals has been created. My backup online (not iCloud) took a hammering sorting it out. It deduplicates meaning no real upload just a lot of faffing around resorting what was where.
My Time Machine threw a wobbly and had to be erased and restarted. It was full though and seemed to having a problem deleting old backups that were probably on Mojave.

A very clunky migration for me on my brand new MacBook Air, previously running Mojave. I needed some of the features due to iOS 13 integration (upgraded Reminders, Safari handoff etc), so I reluctantly took the plunge and reasoned I could always return to Mojave via a Time Machine backup if it was that bad.
Did an upgrade as opposed to a clean install, which has normally been fine with past OSX and macOS releases, but seemed to have introduced some bugs on this occasion.
My former iTunes library migrated across to the new Music app, but none of the album artwork was showing - whether manually applied artwork by me, downloaded or purchased via iTunes. A couple of restarts along with signing in and out of the iTunes store kickstarted some of the album artwork to begin flowing through, but it was very hit or miss with some very common albums not pulling down.
Settings repeatedly nagged me to sign back into iCloud to clear a notification, though the notification would return each time. Signing out and back in properly resolved this, but it's such a glaring and obvious in your face bug that many will see to possibly tar the rest of Catalina.
Surprisingly, most of my software works flawlessly - both major releases from the likes of Adobe and Microsoft, and smaller apps and configuration tools from indie developers. So far, I've only run into one old 32bit app that expectedly no longer works, so will need to rely on an old offline Windows machine as all the app does is configure a piece of offline hardware.
If you're not reliant on any of the upgrades to Catalina, I would honestly wait until 10.15.1 or even 10.15.2 - the former will probably be out at the end of this month or early November, and the latter should be out some time in December. By then, any app compatibility issues should have been ironed out by developers and Catalina itself will be that bit more mature.

2018 MacBook Pro working just fine, seems slick and a bit snappier. Annoyingly a third party mail plugin that we use is not yet supported so I'm missing out on that for the time being, but apparently the developer is working to make it play nice with MacOS 10.15.
Sidecar feature (using an iPad as a second display) is a bit laggy, works for 5 minute then seems to stall, could be the age of my iPad. Can't see me using this feature much.
Fonts in chrome look slightly sharper than on Mojave:

Other than that, not a great deal to report, a bit underwhelming really.

Well here I am again
Not too successful for me
Currently only able to access machine as guest user - so only basic web browsing allowed
After upgrade & restart, machine appears to have forgotten my password
I am sure I have the correct password - I use it daily after all
When I try to reset password, there are no users on the list of which I should select to change
When I try to do a timemachine back up, I can choose the backup ( from my external SSD) but cannot then select any destination disc (list is empty)
Joined a few forums seeking help but, at the moment, machine is 'bricked' (apart from browser)

Well I couldnt be arsed waiting, and as the program I need is 64bit I installed it pulled the trigger.
No issues to note other than photos stuck showing 1 item uploading.
Same here. At some point on the left hand pane under library a cloud icon with an exclamation mark in it appeared and it highlighted 1 photo. It was a doubler. Deleted one and it was happy. No issues to note other than photos stuck showing 1 item uploading.
When it was sorting itself out after installing Catalina I noticed one of the actions was detecting duplicates. Perhaps that is the outcome? Seems a tad odd.
I did have around 15gb worth of doublers before Catalina but used a third party program to manage it and it was a surprise to get the doubler.
Done in about 40 minutes and everything seems to work (mid 2012 MBP). I have to say various things (especially Safari) seem quicker than before.
There is one program that I've lost as it was 32 bit but supplier assures me there is a 64 bit version coming.
Now, if the photo analysis daemon that's hogging the CPU could just finish what it's doing it might cool down a bit
