Windows File Manager alternatives

[Mr Pointy]

Does anyone have suggestions for alternatives to the standard Windows File Manager? Something that can do dual panes, maybe file comparison etc?

I find Q-Dir very useful.

Doesn't do file comparision though, for that I use ExamDiff

I like beyond compare for file and directory comparisons.

I’ve tried many over the years, but in all honesty, unless you spend very large chunks of your day organising files, I can see very little real benefit over just arranging a couple of normal Windows explorer windows side by side.

XTree Gold!

The original Windows File Manager is on the Microsoft Store. No comparison tools, but it does multiple windows.

In some ways it is better than explorer. Certainly faster.

Have a look at Lucion Filecenter

I’ve used it for years - very good
