Can anybody recommend a good quality ULTRA RELIABLE laser printer? Its going to be used for my home office, the kids also use it for homework. It needs to have

Printer
Scanner
Copier
Automatic Document feeder

Preferably A3 sized footprint or smaller
Wireless would be good but not essential
Colour would be good but not essential

I'm getting a bit fed up with HP as they seem to break down on a regular basis.

Thanks in advance.

Not laser but I also got fed up with hp costs. I went with a epson et4500 eco tank. Got all the features you need but a4 so maybe they do a bigger version if you need a3. The additional cost is by far outweighed by the ink costs. Hp inks are a riduculous price so much so that I recovered the original oncost within the first 6 months or so.
Its been totally reliable for 18 months or so doing 300 plus pages per day both b&w and full colour.
The only downside for me is the relatively small paper capacity of 50 ish sheets so for me needs filling several times a day.

Thanks 3200gt.

i do want to stick with a laser just to be on the safe side. Agree with you about the cost of HP inks although fortunately mine get paid for by my employer.

Just to clarify - I dont need A3 printing as such, what I meant by A3 footprint is the amount of desk space it will take up in my Study.

300 pages/day sounds excellent btw smile

I have an HP MFP477fdw. It's a wWireless two-sided laser printer, scanner, copier and I'm very pleased with it. I use clone toner cartridges from Amazon (£60-odd for a set, rather than HP at £85 each), which are fine 90% of the time, but they do streak occasionally. So I keep a set of HP cartridges in a box, and I use those if I need to print something perfectly (which is rare for me).

I have a Xerox Versalink C405 and it is truly the best MFD I've ever used. Laser, colour, scan, print, copy and all of the above from any device (even a mobile) on the network. Quality is great too.

I can highly recommend it. Got it from PC world Business, from memory.

I dont think the versalink will fit on my desk smile

The HP is a good recommendation but might possibly be overkill. Thanks for the recommendations.

Well that's f'ing annoying......

After buying and installing a new printer it turns out that it was the power lead on the old one that was faulty madmadmadmad

Anybody know how much Amazon charge in restocking fees?

I’m a fan of Brother printers. Got fed up with HP being a nightmare and haven’t looked back.
