Gaming laptop advice

[howardmarks]

Used to love gaming but for various reasons have it up. Going to have a bit more time on my hands soon so fancied starting again. Used to play on a desktop but now it will have to be a laptop. The type of games i used to play were myst, broken sword, monkey island and my favourite grim fandango. Although i also enjoyed Colin Macrae rally. I suppose there are the modern equivalent of those type of games now. (Pointers to these would be great too. Any recommendations for what I should be looking at? Don't want to spend more than necessary as about the " more time on my hands " is due to redundancy.

What's your budget, what games do you play and are you okay with a 15"?

More than happy with my 4 year old MSI Laptop. Only "complaint" is that the fans can be quite noisy, I vaguely remember reading reviews saying they could be, but then I'd assume any gaming laptop will have similar issues to deal with the heat. It doesn't bother me as most of the time I use a gaming headset, so that or decent external speakers is a must.
