Sky Q controlling Blu ray player!?

Odd query, we have had Sky Q installed but when using the Sky Remote it opens & closes the Blu Ray player. Any button on the Sky Q remote seems to trigger it.

If there is a blu ray in there, the TV force changes to the Blu Ray (off sky) and if there is no disc in there then the Blu Ray player just opens & closes at every button press.

I have not come across this before, so am not sure how I get around it.

I split sky between two rooms so use both the Blue Tooth Remote AND the IR Remote - can't really give up using IR commands.

Has anyone ever come across this sort of thing before? I presume they both use the same Frequency/IR commands, but can this be fixed or is it a job of unplugging the blu ray player until we need to use it?
