chromebook

basically nothing other than a few enterprise laptops come with an ethernet port anymore its not necessary, if you really want to wire in you can get a usb ethernet adapter for £10 or less.

If you are happy with your Laptop other than the Keyboard, they are usually not very expensive and quite easy to fit.

What Model do you have?

Do your research. Chromebooks get pushed here so much it is actually suspicious. They are very different devices.

A new laptop worth buying is going to be £500. There are plenty of refurbs around for less.

As always I would suggest a refurbed ThinkPad from one of the many sellers on eBay.

I bought a well specced T450s 6 months ago for £350. 5th gen i7 CPU, 1080P screen, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD , fresh install of Windows 10 and a high capacity battery pack.

Just make sure to check that the machine has a UK keyboard as there are lots on sale with US or EU keyboards - which are certainly usable but the differences in layout can be irritating.
