Morning chaps, bit of a long shot this but wondering if any of you guys can help me.

Bought a new Mesh PC yesterday. but the Creative Soundblaster Audigy ZS card doesn't work at all. Though I can get sound running though the GeForce 6600GT graphics card.

Any ideas why?

Appreciate it.

You wot?

Does the graphics card have built-in sound? Don't think so... sounds like you're managing to confuse yourself there!

In which case you're using the sound built into the motherboard chipset. You'll probably have to disable this in the BIOS before being able to use the Audigy card.

Cheers, PDV6,

But how do I disable it in the bios? Bit cr@p at finding my way around this kind of thing. And if i do disable it, and thats not the cause of the problem, is it easy to restore the setting again?

Thanks again.

If your using XP have you checked that the plug and play is activated in the add new hardware settings? (may also need to check the BIOS again). Other than that - is the card fully engaged in the correct type of slot - do you have the latest drivers?

You've had it 2 days! , take it back to the shop and get them to sort it out?

Unless of course that is not an option.
