Hello,

Renewal for my .net is due start of the year and looks like easily.co.uk (current provider) have gone down the tubes with terrible portal and rubbish cut-and-paste email assistance when renewing. I do nothing with them throughout the past 2 years but tried to renew online and enough problems with a simple process make me thing it's time to move.

Looking through the ratings looks like I'm not alone in thinking it's time to bail:

https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.easily.co.uk

So, looking for a recommendation on a DNS hosting company able to renew a domain and handle the hassles of getting easily.co.uk to shift ownership of a single .net domain.

Any recommendations from the PH masses on a decent hosting company that I can call or talk to around making this as painless as possible.

No web hosting required just a case of renewing the domain and hosting a couple of DNS records and wraggling the transfer from current provider if they are a pain.

Many thanks in advance,

babelfish

I recently moved my .net and .com domains from Easily to Cloudflare without any issues.

I use their DNS manager for these and .co.uk & .org.uk that I have registered with Namecheap as Clouldflare don't do .uk domains.

For extra security they proxy the ip address in the DNS so no one knows your IP address and they provide SSL to the website.

All for the grand total of £0.00

OK, I think we've got nobody likes TSOHost, any constructive advise for the OP?

I use NameCheap - support is good and they have a decent control panel too.

Problem we have had with name cheap is their email.

Mail authority isn't strong enough and emails turn up in junk boxes

I wouldn't really recommend them although have several sites hosted there..

I can recommend NetEnergy based in Exeter.

A small company, but we used them for two decades and their customer service is great.

I've had all my domains with heartinternet for years, and they've been great. I just let them renew all the time. Never had cause for complaint.

Thanks for this.

Any reason not to go with fasthosts? They seem about as good as the others, and offer free transfer out (but maybe they all do?).

Many thanks,
