Can anyone here repair a Microsoft Surface Pro 3?
Discussion
My daughter loves her Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and has been using this for her A level studies.
Today, she accidentally dropped this at home and the screen has now gone black with a few white lines vertically. We have plugged it into an external monitor and can see the display, but the onboard screen is not working.
We dont want to send it away for repair as many repairers will wipe the data due to GDPR. Can anyone here help to repair it or tell me where i can take this for repair.
Any help is much appreciated.

Why on earth would they do this? Your data is your data. You have sent it to them to fix it, not delete your data.
They should not be accessing your data to fix the screen anyway..

Thanks Peter. The reason i stated this is that Currys PC world told me that they would wipe it clean to avoid GDPR issues. When we sent back a Nokia phone for repair recently, it had to be wiped clear before they would accept it.
