I'm a bit out of touch with iPhone models, currently using an iPhone SE and wondering if it's time to upgrade but don't want a HUGE phone so the XR is out but the XS seems gvfm @ £699? Unsure on the XS or newer 11. Any help on which makes the most sense appreciated smile

Thanks

I recently had the same dilemma as it was time to change my trusty 5S (I don't change my phone very often), went with a XS in the end as I couldn't justify the price of an 11 pro. No regrets so far but the extra size and weight over the 5S takes some getting use to.

I would get the 11 based on those pricings.

Same situatiuon myself, had my trusty SE for nearly 3 years and quite happy just paying £10pm with giffgaff but feel it's time to get a new model.

I'll be going for the 11 Pro and hoping to get a black friday deal through giffgaff or sky as I want to stay on 02 network.

Big size difference between the se and 11 pro !

Isn't a new se being released next year.

Yeah will take a bit of getting used to but I think I'm ready for a bigger screen as I use it more now for videos and live sport etc.

Also it's the smallest and lightest from latest 11 range, and if I'm spending what I consider a lot of money I might as well get the one with the best screen and camera. Battery life is also a lot better than the previous XR/XS models.

I don't think a new version of the SE has been confirmed for next year has it? I'm not sure I'd go for that anyway as unless I really wanted to stick with a smaller phone it wouldn't feel like much of an upgrade to my current one. Also if it were to be half the price of the latest models then the spec is going to be no where near as good.

I have got an 11Pro from work.

Battery life is great after my 2 year old X, whilst the camera is incredible, especially clever when using the low light mode.

Here are a couple of photos looking down my garden at night, within 30 secs of each other.both phones on Auto.

Iphone 11 Pro

The 11 is the same size as the Xr more or less so don’t see how that one fits in.

I’d get the Xs from those numbers.

Yup, £30 difference makes it a no-brainer.

Not sure I follow.

The XS has a much better display, for example, and is smaller which is apparently important to the OP.

The front camera on the 11 is better, and it has a wider angle lens in place of the telephoto lens on the XS.

The 11 does not have 3D touch which I personally use a lot.

I'd take the XS personally.

Does the OP want a P30?

VFM is subjective.

Would you wade into a "what 911?" thread and suggest that a GT86 is better VFM?

Anyway, to answe the OP, I'm giving fairly serious consideration towards an 11 Pro. My current Galaxy S8 is due for replacement and now that iOS actually does the stuff I want it to do... biggrin

Glad you spotted that! I thought the 11 was smaller than the XR. The missus has the XR and whilst the screen size is great, it's too big and bulky to slip into a pocket. It'd have to be XS then, or 11 PRO. Might see if or what deals are on the 11 Pro over the next week..

Which is why I went XS, the 11 was even bigger, and the pro too expensive. I've had the XS for a month or so now and it still feels enormous compared to the 5S.

I recently moved from SE to 11pro
I liked the SE size, but 11 pro isn’t too Dom Jolly size. About as big as I’d want to go.
Great camera as others said, especially low light.
I’m fortunate as get a good discount through contact, £55 a month/256gb/unlimited everything..
I have a semi-decent Olympus camera @ £500, but not used it since getting the 11!

This evening I purchased the 11pro max from Very.co.uk. They have £200 cash back on that and the normal 11 pro. Valid until the 28th on a 6 month interest free deal. Obviously don’t let it roll over past that date or they will shaft you at their extortionate interest rates!

That is stunning.

I’ll be moving from the 8+ to an 11 now and still deciding if 11/11pro or pro max - think it will be the pro max (but not cheap)

Am I understanding this correctly - that equates to £849 interest free over 6 months?

I'm suspicious that the £200 isn't just deposited into your Very account to be spent in Very, as opposed to £200 taken off the purchase price of the phone.

...and interest free for 6 months?

Sounds almost too good to be true!
