Folks,

Currently have an iPad Air 2nd gen but it’s getting a bit flakey and home button is kaput..

Ruling out the Pro as it’s waaaay more cash, I’m slightly struggling to see the difference between the iPad and Air. Probably looking at 64gb as it’s enough for me (although for the sake of £100 I’d probably get the 128gb ipad)

Cheers!

Was in the same boat - went for a lightly used 10.5" Pro. They're also usually available on the offical refurb store for £449.

Vs the current Air, you sacrifice a little bit of CPU power but get the nicer 60hz promotion screen, and the extra speakers. I thought it was worthwhile.

Air is so much better and there’s a new home button in the accessibility options...

Also the Pro is now looking cheap...

I have both and they are pretty similar to the average user except 1 thing, the screen.

The 2018 iPad does not a laminated screen so when you press it you can see it move slightly due to the air gap. The 2019 air, as well as being slightly bigger at 10.5 inches is laminated so feels more solid.

If the price difference is minimal, go for the air.

...and bizarrely, the 256GB model is £80 cheaper:

Not bad for less than £450 when you consider that the new generation 256GB iPAD Pro retails for £919! eek

That looks like an extremely good deal on the Pro, although I’d probably prefer the latest model to guarantee a bit more longevity upgrade wise?
