Wire to link an SSD to MAcBook Pro

My SSD (Samsung T5) has a USB C port......my macbook has the same/thunderbolt......

Will any usb c to usb c wire off amazon do or are some better than others? Need fast data speeds for moving video files.

Its a bit of a mine field if you buy budget cables
They'll all work (hopefully) but many will be limited to usb 2 data speeds, sometimes even if they claim to usb 3 or thunderbolt compatible.

Given how much you've spent on the Mac & SSD why don't you play safe & buy an Apple cable?

The Amazon Basics one is not a Gen 2 cable so won't support the same transfer rate as a Gen 2 cable.
