My Samsung TV is bluetooth and wifi

However I can't get my chromebook to interact with it.

The chromebook detects it - UE55J6240 but asks if it shows a number on the screen - but it doesn't.

Or should I be trying to connect via wifi ?

I have tried to cast to it via Google home and it says that it's not supported, but I can cast youtube to it from my phone.

You might have to put the TV into the right mode to receive the cast, it's often an app in the streaming section of the menu.

I can't cast my Google Pixel 2xl to my Sony smart TV, can with Samsung/Hudl 2 tablets Wife's Huawei phone, previous phones etc - something to do with Google not supporting Miracast any more and I'd need to use a Chromecast (I have one for the upstairs TV and it casts to that perfectly) Possibly your issue if your TV doesn't have Google cast built in.

As you can probably tell I'm not sure how these things work.

My phone casts youtube to both TVs and I only press the cast button and it comes on no matter what's on the screen.

I've just tried the Smart things app but it doesn't open on my chromebook
