..and can honestly say it was worth the upgrade?

I'm still using an SE and waiting for the 11 Pro to drop in price but noticed the XS is now £629! It's tempting.. but I'm sold on the 11 Pro camera - would be using it mainly to take short vids of little Phooey horse riding and general stuff like that. Would I notice much difference in the vid and pic quality between the XS and Pro?

have briefly considered it this week for similar reasons. Haven't actually looked at the price to change, but have sold all my DSLR kit recently so man maths tells me it could be worth it.

I switched from the XS Max to the 11 Pro a few weeks after launch, honestly in terms of using I can tell almost no difference and camera...... honestly and purely my own perception but I think the XS takes a better picture.

Hope that helps, I’ll be selling myn at 12 launch so if you want to wait until then!

I’m sticking with my XS for now, and will hopefully keep it for years. From what I’ve read, one big advantage of the 11 Pro cameras is their ability to capture good images in low light. If that’s important to you, it’s worth considering.

I have swapped out my 2 year old x for an 11Pro.

Very pleased, camera is awesome, superb zoom and also night photos are impressive.

I would have probably stayed with my X but for the poor battery condition, the 11 lasts for 2 days without a charge, was barely getting a working day out of the X.

Get an 11 Pro, flog your old phone.

XS Max to 11 Pro Max. The camera is better at night. The battery last longer. That's it

Most of the tech review sites are suggesting that the iPhone 11 is actually the current best iPhone purchase.

i think the point he was making is those are the only really apparent things to the user... the only things that make a tangible difference to experience.

Note I didn't day best phone, I said best "iPhone purchase"

To be fair, the qualification of "for most people" is usually added.

Also, the 11, 11 pro & pro plus were all released at the same time - so they're all "latest" models.

Edit: side by side comparison here -

https://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/compare/?afid=p238...

(You'll need to chose the phones to compare)

You're not getting an awful lot more for an extra 320 quid, imo.

I can totally see how a lot of reviewers have arrived at the conclusion that the 11 is the best iPhone for most folk.

Exactly. I am well aware of all the technical differences. I appreciate none of them in day to day use!

The 11 has the wide lens which I reckon makes it practically as good as the 11 Pro camera for most people. The shots of the 11 look really good.

I would not be particularly surprised if they go back to launching 2 phones again. One at 11 pricing and one between pro and pro max pricing. Their whole range is a mess at the moment.

Cheers for replies. Still unsure what to do.. the thing is I still like my SE (size) and not normally one for chasing the newest and latest things but my battery life on the SE is crap now, and it's becoming slower and slower, and would like a much better camera so my gut feeling is wait for the 11 prices to drop. It's not like I'm in no rush and I keep my phones for 3-4 yrs at least smile

i think if your current phone is about two or three versions behind then you'll really notice the difference. Any newer than that and you'll probably not see enough of a benefit to make it worth it. It's almost the cost of a macbook to change for me, for example. For that you'd expect to be blown away, not just mildly impressed with one or two features.

There's always the option of putting a new battery in the se , might speed things up again .

Why does the xs have no price on the Apple website? Has it gone unavailable?
