God sometimes I hate tech....

I've finally upgraded my ageing Galaxy S6 for a brand new S10.

I took the Vodafone package with ents & chose Sky Sports. Then added a £5 a month for the Sky football package.

Ii was feeling very pleased with myself as I'd been paying £33/month for Now TV Sky football + £15 a month for an EE SIM only deal so I'm up £50/month as my new employer's picking up the tab. Plus I have a fast phone with plenty of battery & storage. So far so good. I've also asked for another Chromecast for Christmas so I can use the TV in the den for my football.

So today I give it a dry run using a spare Chromecast and it turns out those feckers at Sky don't actually support it. FFS.

I tried the mirror function on the phone and that was st. What are my options to get a Chromecast-like experience - ie one where the router sends a nice fat signal to something plugged into the back of my TV?

Thanks in advance

They don't support streaming or wired connections from mobile devices so you're kinda stuck on watching it on your mobile device. I've got my mates login and have the app on my PC connected to the TV, that works great! He's a TV subscriber though, not sure if that would work with your deal?

Well I suppose that's why the vodafone sky package is so cheap.

I'll just do phone + headphones for random games which is actually still handy.

If I want to watch a full game I can pay the one off Now TV charge.

Even better actually go which is the best way of doing it.
