Help with Macrium Reflect
Discussion
What is the difference between CLONE and IMAGE in Macrium Reflect?
I think I know, but I just want to be sure.
If I want to keep a full 'copy' of a drive (including recover partitions etc), I think I would use CLONE. If the drive failed, I could replace the drive and restore this clone and be up and running in minutes, I assume?
If I want to keep a 'copy' of a particular tweaked windows set up, I think I would use IMAGE and take an image of the OS partition. I could then restore that image on another PC and have the same set up, I assume?
Grateful for any tips and clarification.

I use this and the difference is this.
Clone = Bit by bit copy of the disk onto another disk that can be plugged into another computer. if the primary drive fails you can simply use the cloned disk.
Image = A file that contains a copy of the source disk that can be used to restore from a failed disk. This requires to Macrium reflect software to read the image.
I use both in the following ways.
1. I have a clone of my data disk that runs weekly.
2. I run an Image of my boot SSD disk that runs bi-weekly
If my boot disk dies then I use Macrium to restore the image which means I can get back up and running pretty quickly. You need to ensure you have a flash drive or dvd with the Macrium rescue environment.

Thank you, very useful.
I have another question, hoping you chaps can help.
We have some machines that run some awkward to set up software. The machines are dissimilar. If I take an image of one, and restore it on another, would it work? They are running Windows 10, would that sort it's licensing out automatically?
