Hi all,

After some help from the PH members, I found this Novatech camcorder today which must be around 10 years old now! For old times sake, it would be great to power it up but this is the charging port; does anyone know what type it is or where I could get one?

Thank you!

Maybe something on a multi head adaptor like this would work?

This is the only model number that is visible on the camcorder

It might be easier to take the battery out and charge it on an appropriate charger for the chemistry and cell onfiguration.

"For old times sake"

Ah man, not easy.

How old is the device roughly? There where some mad non-standard usb connectors on this sort of thing which allowed the port to be used for component av outputs as well as usb and charging etc. but I am really struggling to find anything online to suggest or share on here.

It looks a tiny bit like mini display port but I am equally sure it isnt.

Novatech are a distributor rather than a manufacturer so some overall shots might help ID its actual origins but equally might be a total goosechase.
As said if the battery is removable, charging it externally with another suitable charger might be an option especially for a one-off data recovery exercise.
Alternatively what is the data stored on, if its a miniDV or an SD card or the like then again for data recovery an alternative/external reader might be better.
