Is there a special connector for joining 2 ends of RGB wire like this?

You have two bare ends? Solder them and heat shrink if you have some. Or you could just use terminal block. Where will the joint be located?

2 bare ends. I wanted something that I could unplug if needed.

What is it carrying?
Phono connectors are one option but D types and other similar connectors with a suitable shell and screw up assembly are available depending on what it is used for and cable diameter.

Use Phoenix connectors, you can get male and female 4 way versions, screw terminals.

Are the cables individually screened? Or just single core?

Looking for a bare plug like this, but without wires attached, so I can solder to my bare wire.

If you don't have access to RS, CPC Farnel are none to bad if you know the connector you are looking for.

Well he wants to disconnect it if needed so choccy block will work. I can't find a rewireable RGBS female lighting connector but he could bodge something like this together by soldering on to the white connector:

Hopefully the male joiners are included.

Yep that looks like best option. Thanks
