Do such programmes exist?

I need to make an exact clone 'backup' copy of a DVD which I own.

www.clonedvd.net

I have their previous product (CloneCD) which is superb.

Alternatively, the full version of Nero (rather than the cut-down version shipped with a lot of DVD writers) also does this and far more too (such as de-regioning it, squashing a dual-layer DVD down onto a single-layer DVD, etc.)

Thanks. I should have assumed that CloneDVD would exist having used CloneCD lots of times.

Doh!

Err - just tried CloneDVD but it's not what I'm after so I'll expand my question.

I have a friend who owns a navigation DVD which contains data. He/she/it would like to make a 'backup' copy for daily use so that theiving scrotes don't steal the original from his/her/its' car. This requires sector copying.

Anyone know of a suitable programme?

Thanks.

You may be a bit bu99ered here.

DVDs that are mastered and burnt in factories can hold more data than yer off the shelf PC World jobbies, so he may be out of luck.

Copy of Nero or similar should sort you out. Pop original in drive 1, burn a copy. Easy really..

Which DVD is it?

Nero should copy it just fine. I doubt it will be any bigger than 4GB - the BMW Europe DVD will fit on a single layer disk.

Alternatively just download the ISO from emule etc
