Or not a macro. Not sure.

I want to create a function on my tool ribbon thing that I can use on any workbook, that applies a conditional formatting rule.

I don't seem to be able to make such a rule that always available - it only applies to the workbook I was in when I created it.

I'm also not sure how to assign it to an icon in the tool ribbon.

Basically, whenever I create a spreadsheet, I want to be able to hit a button which turns any cell containing a formula into blue text.

Any ideas?

I think you might be able to do this with Cell Styles. You can create a new one and then, although I haven't read it properly, you should be able to make it available to all future workbooks.

You won't be able to assign your custom one to an icon - think you'd have to go down a macro route for that.
