Yeah utter ste. They were sending udp packets to an address in china at one stage too.

I bought one on a deal in john lewis but never got round to fitting it. The app was a turd and kept crashing. I'll sling the hardware on gumtree.

I was thinking of getting a ring then read the reviews about the battery life and decided against it.

Battery life depends on season, winter time it can last a month, in summer I find it can go 4 months or more before needing a charge, ring2 has a removable battery, so I have a spare charged ready to swap over, takes less than 30 seconds, ring1 needs to be removed from the wall to charge.
But they can be hard wired so battery life not an issue.

It does mention Android, I assume iOS is not affected?

Re Battery, no way does it match the claims on the settings I have. But recharging is not an issue.

Battery life depends on if you want to use the motion sensing (which is an additional cost to view the video clips) or you turn that off and just use it as a video doorbell.
