Why is my work Outlook not receiving inbound mail?

As per the title. Sending OK, just not receiving anything. Can anyone offer any suggestions, as we've been trying to sort it today to no avail.

To elaborate. It's my business, we have no IT team, we pay MS monthlies for Outlook. I'm guessing it's one to contact them about? I was just wondering if there may have been something obvious which we hadn't considered.

Edit. RE the second post. It's rare that a day goes by without an email, it's been a week now. Yesterday I tested it, as did the wife, neither email came through. Oddly, if I send to my work addy from my work addy that worked fine?!

We've noticed that too tonight. Thought a coincidence, although I've been on our site in recent days. That said a different company host this to who look after the email account, so not sure. I'll be ringing the co who manage our site first thing tomorrow, really not happy it's offline.

Are the details for incoming and outgoing mail set up properly? - ie, SMTP or IMAP details like User Name, Password and Host Name?

It looks like your domain registration has recently expired.

You probably need to get hold of your service provider (123-reg or a representative).

Your domain has expired and requires renewal. There’s a grace period before potentially you lose it for good.

That is very useful, and needs further investigation tomorrow, I recall it was 123 reg when I started the business. Funny, I'd have thought they would have sent a reminder, although any email with 'domain' in the subject is a junk mail contender.

I don't remember them....

What a bloody drama this has been today. I've been on to the people who created the website 10 years ago, they don't hold the domain. I found an email where the second IT company we worked with confirmed they owned it and passed it on to the third. I found out who's name it's in, and she works at the third company..... and she's off today. Been promised a call from them tomorrow or Monday with the particulars and password. Bloody 123 still wont release the domain even though I can prove I own the business, I know the first and last names of the person the domain is listed to, her email address and where she was born

It's not a good idea to have others in control of what you have paid for.........You own the domain and should have it in your name, same goes for any servers you have websites running on

It's a proper pain, had a good friend in the same situation

A sticky on this subject would be good should you have the power to get it sorted

Have the renewal on a direct debit, or a credit card - Just need to remember to update when a card expires then!
