After a budget laptop to surf the net and low level stuff

[HannsG]

Hi,

I have a budget of around £100-200. Was looking at the refurbed ones on ebay which come with SSD and so on.

Anyone recommend a good refurb website, or any new ones which are suitable?

minimum i5? and preferably a HDMI and SSD

I'm in dreamland right?

Thanks,

Dell at £205? https://outlet.euro.dell.com/Online/SecondaryInven...

Has the SSD but not i5

Or Grade B i5 but no SSD http://www.scctrade.co.uk/prod/toshiba-tecra-z40-a... and you'll need to buy an adaptor

what do you mean low level stuff?
assembly programming or stuff that does not require a lot or resources?

just get a chromebook

What usage? as above Chromebook might fit the bill.

No need for an i5 whatsoever.

Grab a Chromebook of eBay, there are plenty of sellers that got them free with Pixel phones for free.

Don't the free one is terrible, compared the screen on the free one to my LG Chromebase and it looked awful.

You can't go wrong with a decent used/refurbished Business laptop (Dell Latitude/HP Elitbook/Lenovo Thinkpad) from scctrade. Even though second hand I think they are much better than the consumer grade rubbish pushed by the likes of Currys PCWorld. I use a Thinkpad X61 upgraded with SSD and Win10 as a daily low level.
