I have a digital signage display in a small office. I use Screenly on a Raspberry Pi for showing content. https://www.screenly.io/ose/

Screenly has a weather widget which I have used, it's not great and it does hang sometimes requiring a reboot. Screenly can link to a url however I cannot find a suitable website that just displays a clear local forecast.

I'm now thinking of building my own web page and then inserting a weather 'widget' together with some other info. It just needs to be a simple one page site, doesn't matter if the url is non specific, just needs to load one page full screen with no log-in or buttons, will be displayed for say 15 seconds., then on to some other pages.

Never done this before, so where do I start? Ideally free as it's for a non profit company.

It may be possible to configure Wunderground.

Maybe the mobile version of the website?

A Netatmo setup, gives you your own weather page.
