Three Payg 200mb Free data Sim top up issue

Elderly family member has one of these in a phone for emergency purposes. I sorted it out and handled top ups and it’s worked fine for maybe 18 months.
In that time any credit lasted for ever (as in months rather than 30 days - eg I topped them up once in 2019). Then when I last tried to top it up the options looked different and there was just data or international credit.
I opted for international calls but just found that expired after 30 days.
I’ve contacted three but they can’t offer much help on the chat, just directing me to webpages to top up that don’t seem to show any alternative top up options.
Does anyone else have this SIM and have the same issue ?
It looks like three have changed the way it can be used and they are blocking the use of regular pay-as-you-go top ups for this SIM type now.
Or is there another place to go to get a simple £10 non expiring payg topup for this SIM?

Do you have a Three shop nearby? I've found that they seem to be more useful than the people on the phone.
My mobile has a Three 1-2-3 SIM in it, I think the only requirement is to make a chargeable call every six months. That was a free SIM that I put £10 on, transferred my old T-Mobile number across. It was the only reasonably-priced PAYG deal I could find, everyone else seemed to be 35p+ per minute.
