Syba SATA III 8 Port PCI-E 2.0 Controller Card, any good?
Discussion
Will someone kindly take a look at this SATA card for me and give an opinion?
Perhaps somebody is using one
Are Syba cards any good?
Thank you in advance

That looks very expensive for what it is.
You could buy a used HP P410i controller off Ebay for less, and have a proper (hardware) RAID controller (albeit not SATA 6G)
There are other controllers available that offer better value for money.

Still running a card that you included with the server case that you kindly gave me, everything is running really good now and have never since had problems with too much heat, those fans that you also donated work a treat
Will be stripping the case down in the near future to replace some dodgy HDD's, made a big mistake in fitting some old ones that soon developed errors including one that never really worked properly
While the PC is in bits have decided to buy and fit a faster SATA card
Please do post about anything better that I will be able to buy online
Was going to buy a Syba SI-PEX40071 SATA III 8 Port PCI-E 2.0 Controller Card,Green

The LSI controllers are enterprise class and very good.
Chinese vendor, complete kit £33 (with cables)
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-LSI-MegaRAID-9240-8...
UK vendor - similar kit £95 (with cables)
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LSI-9211-8i-LSI00194-SA...
These controllers use a Mini SAS (8087) to SATA adapter like this

You can also get older generation controllers quite cheap like this one with 256mb cache for £20 (but no cables - see above)

As far as I know, there are no issues with goods coming out of China at the moment - I've heard of people receiving things with no issues.
