We have a BT Home Hub 5 (I think) and recently added a Tenda (MW5) Mesh wifi

The Mesh works great - really good over the whole house.

Only problem seems to be it's caused the Xbox to now display a 'Double Nat' issue.

Any ideas how to fix or avoid?

Can you put the Tenda in bridge mode, so the BT is the only router?

Or scrap the BT router and get yourself an Openreach modem off eBay and use the Tenda as the router, I assume it has router capabilities?

Yes by default the Tenda system installs itself as a router. It does have bridge mode though.

Shouldn't it be the home hub that's put into bridge/modem mode. Let the mesh router do it's stuff. That's how I have my Virgin/Google set up

Either way will work and is pretty equivalent. If one is better/faster (in terms of response time to DHCP requests and the like) it probably makes sense to make that the router

Thanks.

Homehub doesn't have a bridge mode it would appear.

Tenda however does so i've changed it and it's removed the double NAT issue.

Is does mean I can't use parental blocking or guest network creation etc on the Tenda but that's not too important at the moment.
