Laptop Issue Solved

Day one of home schooling for Son and Daughter.
Son hands me his laptop and says it doesn't work.
Plug it in and sure enough it doesn't get past the Lenovo first screen. No boot up sequence no beeps
The BIOS setup key doesn't work.
So I start to tear the laptop apart
SSD - nope works fine when plugged into my laptop.
Memory - nope thats fine.
Battery - nope laptop works without battery plugged in.
Finally tracked it down to a broken USB port. Plastic in the middle was broken and pins were touching.
I could have killed him.
Wasted 2 hours of my life.
Where was that PH thread about people not being careful with technology.
