I know we probably have a lot of clever people in software delivery / IT roles. I'm a product manger (ba & product owner in one) & I've been picking my brain today and wondered instead of facebook groups if there is a way of creating a community based site for people who are self isolating / vulnerable whereby it does a few things.
1. A way for people to register / phone & someone registers them as vulnerable
2. Basic profile saying where they live, who lives there, need a dog walking & a secret word for volunteers to say when dropping stuff off so they know it's genuine
3. A basic list form of things they need from the shops - i'm talking purely supermarket type stuff, not i'm in need of a doner kebab.
4. Place for volunteers to register their willingness to help - talking who & realistic times they are available from days to AM/PM slots
5. What the volunteers are willing to do e.g. walk a dog, go buy food for people & deliver it
6. Admin portal for a head volunteer person or persons (there's always people like that) who can log on search by the vulnerables address & find a volunteer & assign them to that person.
7. I don't know how it would work for multiple instances of this set up e.g one for this community, one for this community & run.
Obviously i say there's 6 things there which seem fairly big but i didn't know if it would be easy to put together or if i'm over thinking a very simple solution of facebook community places & a big excel spreadsheet.
