3d printers all around the UK are being used to produce this protective headgear ( https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/25857-prusa-p... and I expect there to be more things needed in the future.

The UK's co-ordination website is...

https://join.slack.com/t/covid-19volunteersuk/shar...

If you have access to a 3d printer, or if you think you can help, please visit the site and do your bit.

It's a closed site and I won't post the invite on here, but if you PM me, I'll send you the link.

Alternatively, there is an open address book here...

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdVfWaQi3...

Obviously, be aware that any information put on here is open to the public. It is a hacker's paradise. When I got the request to join from Andre Wegner (Authentise), I thought it was a scam e-mail. I was only happy to join after I e-mailed him personally using another e-mail address.

As you can tell, it's a bit hap-hazard at the moment. It needs some co-ordination and would benefit from some strong leadership, rather than just the Boris approach of asking people nicely. Although, this approach may turn a lot of people of, it may be what is needed.

I'll investigate. Did you click on the Covid-19 link at the top of the page?

Try this one...

I've found the problem. It's a closed group.

New (and much improved) website

https://www.3dcrowd.uk/

Just a shame they are still using Slack to run the show.

It's getting to be less chaotic.

Here's one for engineers who want to volunteer
