What CF card for 5D Mk2 please?

In these days of lock-down, to combat boredom I fancy playing with the movie function on my 5D mk2. It's one of the first Mk2s so it's getting on a bit now I suppose.

I understand the quality & capacity of the card is a key factor.

What are my best options please?

As I have never used the camera for movies, I welcome any good tips for too?

Get a genuine SanDisk - try and get a high speed. My son has my 5d3 so I can't check what CF card I have, but I'd avoid the cheap Chinese clones.

The speed of the cf card won’t be too important for the recording, but will make a huge difference to download speeds to your ‘puta.
As mentioned above, buy Sandisk to be safe. Isn’t the 5D2 dual slot for CF and SD? In which case a fast-ish SDXC card can be cheap. Maybe start with a 32Gb, see how you get on.

However... the video abilities of the 5D2 might be disappointing. Not the quality of the images, but the focussing might be a ‘challenge’.
