1080P (or higher) webcams?
Discussion
It's not so much about the resolution more about the quality of the camera.
Not all 1080 cameras are the same (obviously)
Just to give you an idea, we use Blackmagic web presenters which turn any Camera with a SDI or HDMI feed into a webcam, the resolution of these is 720p it really doesn't matter for the web as it's so compressed.
We have a few of the old versions of these at work https://www.logitech.com/en-gb/product/c930e-webca... they work perfectly well.
Another important thing to think about with these smaller cameras is light, they need loads to work well.

Thank you, for this requirement is has to be 1080p or higher because rightly or wrongly a contract says it does
Point taken entirely that simply being 1080p doesn't mean it's actually any good hence the thread as I can quite easily see a lower resolution camera being better quality in certain circumstances but then we're back to it needing to be 1080p.
I've had good experiences with Logitech so they were my first thought but finding stock seems challenging.
C922 and C920 seem to be in stock @ Logitech direct though which is encouraging.
Remote pan and tilt and zoom would be good too though for one application.

Oh and thank you for that as that bit of kit looks like it will be useful at some point - not right now but I'm putting it on the list for when that sort of thing is asked for i.e. CCTV/DVR feed needs to be fed out via Skype/Zoom etc.b

It's a bit pricey though.

If it's good enough quality that's probably OK.https://www.logitech.com/en-gb/product/conferencec...

Shame it's USB only though as something with ethernet/wi-fi would be good as an option too as there's a few scenarios

Oh they don't all need to be 1080p so ethernet and 720p is probably fine for some of this stuff.
