Google Maps Timeline

Just found this and it has got a lot of my movements going back to 2016 with various phones HTC and Samsung

However what really cheeses me off is the trip i did to the States is missing, in fact everything during the time i was using the phone, a Sony Experia is blank.

How could this have happened. I had not turned on a 'trace'; either before or after getting the sony my number has not changed.


The sony met its end by falling in my pond!,in fact i had two as i dropped the first one and buggered the screen, i laos dropped the second but screen was not affected!

Was your phone connected to mobile data? because if not it needs it. Unfortunately if its not there its never going to be there.

As above, my movements are the same. The UK is OK as was most of Europe but the states didn't show as I had (on purpose) disabled roaming.

The only thing i an remember is that i was on the Three deal that let you ring home from about 100 countries at local uk rates

Got an email from three when i got back and apparently i had saved over £2k by doing this.however i did have to pay aboy 80.00 for excess web usage!000. whether or not that was mobile date or roaminfg i dont know.
One last question wouild it be on the phone memory or the SD card?

neither, Google saves it straight to Google account Hence why I said if its lost its lost.

Its a shame you cant add stuff to timeline as I've got travelling in New Zealand etc back in 2008 that I'd like on there.
