Dear All

I hope you can help. I have spent hours reading reviews and the rest, but seem none the wiser!

My work requires document reading for many hours, so I need a screen that is easy on the eye to avoid fatigue and overly bright screens.

I also work with photographs, so colour integrity is really important too> So, I need another screen that could be "less easy" on the eyes, but has great resolution and colour.

I currently have 1 x 32" that I find too big, too bright and not accurate enough - so it's got to go! I think a 25 or 27 inch screen in what I want, size wise.

I'm really hoping you guys can find me a good screen. My budget is about £800 for both, so happy to spend more on one and less on another!

Bonus points if you can find a screen that rotates as well.

I'd be very grateful for links and if you have had personal experience of the screens you recommend.

Thank you and with kind regards.

Have a read of this https://www.techspot.com/bestof/monitors/ first - should give you a couple of pointers.

27" is the new 24"

I'd go dual 27's, the reading one get an IPS 2560x1440 for around £200-250, then spend the rest on a really nice one for the colour work. When you get them go through some calibration, just google some test patterns and instructions.

Thank you very much. Does this look ok to you for the reading one? https://www.viking-direct.co.uk/en/iiyama-prolite-...

Surely you'd be better off looking at the screen for photo work first & then seeing what budget you have left over? The 'reading' screen is an easier & cheaper problem to solve. A 'proper' photediting monitor is very expensive so maybe you'll have to commit most of your budget there. Dell have one possible candidate:

You can get it from ebuyer for £592.

Maybe ask over in the Photo forum as well?

I've always preferred 1920x1200 16:10 monitors & this Dell might do for the 'reading' screen:

It pivots through 90 degrees.

Double check how much resolution you can power from whatever you're using - laptop?
