CCTV but no wifi in the building?
Discussion
So as per the title - I rent a storage shed/unit around 25 meters from my house (other side of a carpark)
I need to put some CCTV in there that I can view from my phone and maybe 'pings' or whatever when there is activity there? Only problem is that obviously the WIFI from my house doesn't reach there.
There is electric and lighting there but no phone line / internet.
What options do I have without spending an absolute fortune?
Thanks.

I can see there's a solar panel available. If it can't be connected to a power supply (as you have power) I'd have that option as battery life can be very short in a busy (car park?) area.Another option is something like this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ubiquiti-LiteBeam-M5-netw...
Stick that on the wall of your unit, point it at your house and you can have wifi in the unit.

That looks cool. Do you need two, a sender & a receiver?https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ubiquiti-LiteBeam-M5-netw...

In the OPs case a couple of Ubiquiti Nanostation AC Loco will be a better option, as long as there is line of sight between the house and the unit.

While unifi is the belt and braces approach, I would start off with see if simple powerline adapter from Netgear or TP Link works (return them if it doesn't). The nanostations will have to be mounted and then cables routed into the house to your router which is why worth trying powerline adapters first.

I doubt the power in the rented storage unit is on the same circuit as the OP's house. I’m using UniFi to run a camera in an Owl box 150 metres from the house. The owls have 180Mbit up and 40 down, which is enough for each chick to watch their own 4K porn channel....
UniFi outdoor APs at each end, one has a big ass aerial on it. Only comment is that the UniFi WiFi cameras blow chunks. Put the feed into a small switch in the shed and use POE cameras - the UniFi hardwired cameras are excellent.

I doubt the power in the rented storage unit is on the same circuit as the OP's house. (However when I lived in an apartment many years ago and powerline adapters first came out, one surprisingly connected to the neighbors adapter for a good few months)
