Can I run Whatsapp in a web browser?

I need to have a fairly serious chat with my line manager on Monday and I'll be using the text messenger on WhatsApp.

Can I run this in a web browser on a Windows laptop, or do I have to use my Android smartphone?

(Not the end of the world, but I can type much quicker and more accurately on a proper keyboard)

That seems to work, ta. I had doubts if my smartphone could handle QR codes, but it seems to do it fine.
