I'm having a bit of a battle with virgin media broadband at the moment as they've managed to screw up my billing again (same thing happened last year and took ages to get through to someone who could fix it ... for a year)

I am curious what people are paying for their fastest broadband - the 350 package? No TV or mobile phone needed just landline which lets you have a cheaper broadband apparently...

Is anyone on this who can share what they are paying a month?

I pay £76.30

Basic TV package (don't use it - it's unplugged)
M200 Broadband (200MB fibre)
Talk More anytime

Don't need the phone or TV but the triple-play package came out cheaper. Haven't looked at it for a few years (since I moved house actually, about 8 years ago). Be interesting to see if there's a better deal with them, but can't get through to anyone with the Covid situation and lower all handling staff

I renegotiated mine over the weekend.

Maxit TV package (inc BT Sport 4K)
200Mb BB
Wifi booster for upstairs
No idea on calls, but we don't use the phone.

£65/month

Rather annoyingly, we've just come off the back of an introductory offer of the full TV package, 350Mb BB and second box for £75/m
Can't get anywhere near that deal again.

That seems very expensive. We are paying £33 for M200, with no television and no phone line - and you say you don't need the phone or TV.

I was paying £54.50 / month for 350mb

Im now in a 1gig area and thought of upgrading but it was £62 - I then realised I was way over paying for the 350.
Phoned and got offered £45 but told them I wanted to terminate.

Got a call the next day from retentions offering me it for £36 for 18 months.

Thats Broadband only no phone line, TV etc

I did have a bit of a grumble at the woman on the phone and said if they just offered a half reasonable deal I imagine many would be happy to stay.
I don't want to play the game every 12 months and have to haggle/shop around. I just want internet and TV at a reasonable price.

I am reading this as I am on the phone to them (or rather on hold).

I am on the 150 package only and paying a whopping £44.
My own fault as I've been meaning to call them for ages and the minute I get round to it they have what appears to be 2 people answering the phones.

It’s laziness on my part. It was a good deal at the time and I’ve been with them since the Telewest days. They’ve always been great at sorting issues and I never bothered calling them to get a better deal

Will do so this week. Working from home like most people I can just leave the speakerphone on whilst on hold

Why do you need 350mbps? As above 100mbps is perfectly adequate for any normal use. Just downgrade and save £. I'm paying £28.50/m for 100mb.

Maybe it shouldn't but your post did make me chuckle. What a way to get revenge on someone. Nearly actually spat coffee over my keyboard.

Rang them last month to discuss a change in package as half price movies and sport were coming to an end, I wanted to remove sport completely and keep movies, without me even asking they came in at £79.50, upped BB to 200 (from 100), still on highest TV package and kept the 2nd V6 box for my daughter.

I was paying £104 pm, it was due to go up to £134 with the half price movies and sport ending, I was expecting to stick around the £104 mark.

200Mb Broadband £43

I could probably get a few quid off but I can't threaten them with FTTC since there is none

Just got off the phone to them, kept the phone line, dropped the TV and kept the broadband @ 200Meg for £50 all in. Happy with that

100 down for me would most likely be fine - although I download large files I can usually wait, same with game updates etc.

Where VM screw you is on upload speed - 100mb only has 10mbps up. 200 is better at 20mbps but the 350 im on comes with 50mbps upload which is much nicer. A 100/50 pack would be fine for me.
