Google's new pixel buds have good reviews. Released in USA and due in UK soon.

These do look good. I'm happy with the Galaxy Buds+

If noise cancelling is a requirement then the Sony WF-1000XM3 seem to be the best alternative - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-WF-1000XM3-Cancellin...

I've had a pair of Jaybird Vista since they launched and other than an initial issue where the sound would 'drift' left and right early on (which was quickly solved with an update) they've been absolutely great. The sound is superb and they're IPX7 waterproof as well (down to 1m for up to 30 mins) although I've not had any need to test that aspect! The bluetooth connection is solid, even when surrounded by loads of other devices eg. at the gym and they've never fallen out or come loose.

New Pixel Buds are a good shout too, they seem to be getting a lot of positive reviews and will be a similar price to the Vista.

Having recently moved from Apple Airpods, I would give a big thumbs up for the Samsung Galaxy Buds +

I've got Samsung Buds and they're good. Battery lasts well and comfortable.

Pamu are also a good pair of earbuds - cheaper.

I tried an unbranded pair from Amazon for around £50. I had to send them back because the latency was ridiculous. I used them for sat nav while driving but I only got the last quarter second of the instructions - and usually too late - so I went back to my bluetooth headset. Following this thread with interest . . . . .

I've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting, for the new Bose NC earbuds, they should have been out a while ago, but there really seems to be no updates.
I have the over ear Sony wh1000's which are amazing, the NC and sound are both great, BUT, I really like the convenience of earbuds, so am interested in what people have?
Was going to buy the Sony WF1000xm3's this week, but something about the design is putting me off. Sony NC is great though. And they're priced about £169 at the moment which seems good.
The Melomania 1's seem to get highly rated, but are a bit on the sticky out side for me.

Never considered the Jaybird Vista, how much sound gets in from the outside? Is the lack of NC an issue?

They're really well-insulated against external noise, I've never wished for NC on them. What WOULD be nice ironically is pass-through! However they do exactly what I need them to do and they do it well. As mentioned, sound quality is a major thing for me and they have a great tonal balance with excellent bass extension without being 'boomy'.

I also looked at a lot of the others out there when choosing including the Sonys - biggest frustration is you can't test them so you don't know how well they'll fit or how good they'll sound. You have to rely on comments from others who've taken the plunge.

The Vista are excellent for the money though in my book - I would be tempted to try the Pixel Buds though (I'm a Pixel 4 XL owner and all-in on Google at home; 3x Home Max, Thermostat and Nest Protect being installed Friday..!).

I have the Sony WF-1000XM3 and the airpod pros

To my ears the Sony plays music better and has better noise cancelling (its superb)...not much worse than my over ears bose

The airpods are better on calls (people hear me better and the transparency works well). They feel lighter and are better to exercise in

Both are good. If I had to get one pair of would be the airpod bus that's mainly as most of my stuff is apple at the minute

I've gone from Sennheiser Momentum Free to Melomania 1's. The latter are vastly better IMO, and with the proper memory foam tips much more comfy.
They don't "feel" sticky-out when you wear them...

I'm a year in with the Creative Outlier Airs (not the gold ones) and they have been excellent - until the pandemic they had been getting 2-3 hours of use a day. I wish the microphone was better in the wind, but it's not terrible.

I use memory foam tips with mine.

I've got some. I'm looking for a way to get rid of the bonging and sound cutting out every time they assess new outside noise sources. Great sound, though and the case holds charge for days.

Have you thought of trying bone conduction headphones ?

The sound quality probably lacks a little but they are so versatile , I wouldn't be without mine .

It’s a nightmare!!

It gets to the stage where you spend so long researching, looking at reviews etc that you don’t end up buying anything, then you worry that you’ve spent so long looking, there must be some new versions coming out, so hang on for them! Then repeat all over again!! smile)
