Sony TV & ITV Hub/All4 Issues

I have a Sony KD49XF9005BU, less than a year old. I recently tried to catch up with some box sets & am having issues with the All4, ITV Hub & My5 player apps in that none of the programmes will play. On All4 I get the four second sting clip before the programme but it never moves on from there & the ITV Hub & My5 players won't play the programme either. You can select something, but it won't play. iPlayer is fine, I can even play the 4K test clips so it's not an internet bandwidth issue.
Has anyone actually got these services to work? a quick search reveals lots of complaints so I think it's not just me. I don't really want to shell out for another external box as having access to all of these services on one device is one of the reasons why I bought a new TV.
