Evening all,

Looking for a new laptop, and retire my old one as I've had it 6 years or so, and its time for an upgrade.

My current laptop is a ASUS X555LAB, I5-5200 , 8GB RAM, but the power port is failing and i have to hold the cable in a certain position to charge it, and if i move the laptop ever so slightly it cuts all sound out and i have to reboot it to get it back.

and i'm looking at the Dell Inspiron 15.... this one in particular and using discount code comes in at £450

https://deals.dell.com/en-uk/productdetail/3ura?cl...

Max budget is £500

I use it mainly for surfing web, watching netflix, and playing world of warships.

Does anyone have any experience of this laptop?, or could possibly recommend something else maybe?

Cheers all, have a good weekend.

I use

How do these compare?

These are Dell Scratch and Dent.
I was expecting a potato when I first ordered one.
I have never seen one in less than perfect condition.
It just comes in a brown box.

Oh - and check if your coupon code works.

Thanks, didn't realise you could get refurbs direct from dell, However from what i can see in the link, unless im missing something, you cant get a better spec laptop for cheaper than the one i posted.

Did you try your discount code?
I didn't check the prices - Dell Outlet have a long track record of being very good and cheap.

However - we live in interesting times and businesses need cash flow
I am getting emails from companies offering 60-70% off non IT stuff - that I really don't need.

I've got one. Brilliant laptop. Replaced a wheezy old Acer.

I would wholly recommend a Dell.
