Multiple HDD enclosure - Single USB connection
Discussion
Hi,
On ebay there's various 2/3/4/5 bay hard drive enclosures that simply hold the physical disks and output on a single USB3 connector.
When plugged into my laptop, would each drive appear separately ?
The name I see on ebay listings and various UK home and small office IT resellers is Orico and this is their product page

Around £120/130 on ebay listings.
I have 6/7 SATA hard drives ranging from around 1TB to 3TB. I'd like to plug them in and designate say one for all my music files, another for all my family photo's/videos, another for all my small business images and so on. If I want to swap out a drive for a particular use, I can do so and within my laptop I'll see it as whichever drive letter I assign it, correct?
Right now, I don't wish to go with a NAS, although I will do in the future and most likely a Synology as I've used them previously.
Cheers, Dennis!
