Does anyone have BT Full Fibre?
My contract is up and I was going to move to Plusnet, but then I saw I could get faster speeds now with BT.
My current ~60mb package is £46.99/month, I can change to 300mb Full Fibre for the same cost. There's 900mb too, but it's over £70/month for me as an existing customer.
If you have the Full Fibre it would be good to know what your experience has been so far.

I'm tempted to get the 300 at £46.99. That's plenty fast enough for me (I live alone and don't really game very much).
It's ~£12/month more than the 70mb deal they give.
The offers I've had are:
70mb = £34.99
300mb = £46.99
500mb = £56.99
900mb = £61.99
BT Sport app = £8/month + 3 months free

Is there anything else (apart from 'phone) in that? I just renewed mine with BT, get 80Mb, and it's £31.99/mth. Been paying £35 for the previous 2yrs. Includes line rental plus and they seem to have rolled in all the calling features now. I do pay another £7/mth for unlimited 24/7 calls, which includes mobiles now. I have to use BT as have CallSign (inlcuded in calling features) which gives another virtual number for work on the same line and I think only BT do that.
Openreach have spent the last few weeks putting FTTP infrastructure in our village but what I have now works just fine, even with three of us working from home etc. We've had a "coming soon" email, but no offers yet.
I have full fibre - installed recently. They insisted I have a landline too - which is not something I wanted.
I have 50Mbps which is more than enough for me, but I could have much faster if I wanted. But 50 is enough for Netflix, Amazon etc. £30 a month.
Experience is good so far - it's very stable and I have homeplugs through the house - I may change to mesh discs at some point, but found them a bit unstable in a previous house.

They offered £34.99 for the renew of my current service.
With BT Sport my previous contract has been £49/month for the last year or so. The change to 300mb and BT Sport is going to be £53.99. That seems ok. Hopefully the new hub has better WiFi than the old Home Home 5 I have now.

How does the router connect? Is it standard Ethernet cabling as the modem is in the fttp box and not the router? That would be good as it is then much easier to relocate.
Yes, ethernet cable from the optical modem. There's just that and a battery backup box in the fttp box.Sheepshanks said:

They’re not providing the battery backup unit or even the box any more. Just the ONT on its own.
Ah, that's interesting. The chunking great box was one of the things putting me off as there's nowhere obvious to hide it in our house. What do they do about the landline - is that still left as it was?

Yeah it’s a lot smaller, but at the same time you can’t hide the hole in the wall or the fibre feed cable inside the box any more so it has its advantages and disadvantages.What do they do about the landline - is that still left as it was?
Yes, the landline is still provided over the copper line in the majority of cases where it already exists. The landline service is provided over the fibre in new builds where no copper network is available.

60 is fine is there is only you, more bandwidth doesn't have any effect on gaming, hardly uses anyway bandwidth.
FTTP will give you better ping though which is what you need more than bandwidth, but you're dumping money getting 300.
I don’t actually play that many game’s. Most of my internet is streaming and work (I don’t plan to be back in an office ever now). I’m a programmer so fast internet just makes life easier for me. I’m hoping I can get the box put by the front door next to the electric/gas meters and fuse box. I may need to get another socket added for power though. I’m assuming bt won’t do that? Hopefully then I can run some cat6 elsewhere and put the router in a more optimal location. Yes, the landline is still provided over the copper line in the majority of cases where it already exists. Can I use my old Home Hub 5 as a Wi-Fi extender? I’m hoping I can.
Vodafone Gigafast will be available where I live next month, City Fibre installed the wiring a few months ago.
Switched from EE 76 to Vodafone 76 for now as Vodafone will let me "upgrade" when its available.
Think I'm going to go for the 200 package for now which is actually slightly cheaper than the 76 I'm on now.
